Creating a strong internal link structure is essential for any successful SEO strategy. To maximize your website's visibility, you should spread and promote your best content everywhere. But that's not enough. You need to create content that is 5 to 10 times better than what you can find on the web.
For example, I recently wrote a post about the best SEO tools available on the market. It contained more than 170 tools, which was much more than any other list of SEO tools I had seen before. This double whammy (a brand strategy plus a test) gave me an advantage and generated a lot of backlinks. Although I haven't tracked the exact conversion rate for this campaign, I would estimate it was around 10%.
When it comes to getting quality backlinks, the key is to produce high-quality content that offers valuable information. If your content is valuable, others will naturally link to it. One of the most effective and easiest ways to get backlinks is to build links to resource pages. To do this, you need to find unlinked brand mentions.
You can do this manually with Google search operators or use one of the many tools available, such as Ahrefs, BrandMentions, Brand24 and SocialBu. These tools will save you time when it comes to finding unlinked brand mentions. In some cases, sites may have stopped working or have been moved to a new URL, resulting in 404 errors.
